ABOUT THE CURRICULUM
The core of 1 on 1 defense is a mix of;
Judo for throwing the attacker
Jujitsu for manipulating the attacker
Aikido for redirecting the attack
Karate, Boxing for striking and blocking with the hands
Karate, Taekwon Do for kicking and sweeping
A typical training session will contain a warm up and practicing various basic techniques to develop proper form.
Then move to putting the techniques together into combinations, using striking targets to develop accuracy and power.
A session will end with one on one training using one or more of the combinations practiced in the session that day. The client will learn several different aspects of the “philosophy of self defense”.
Basics techniques with a belt and cane. “Bag Gloves” will be needed.
I will provide the various hand targets and striking shields for the student.
